Expert mode (Japanese version)

For expert mode, hold I, II, Run, Select and Up at the title screen. The message "Welcome to Paranoia World II" will appear if the code has worked.

Sound test

For a sound test, hold I, II and Select and press Run at the title screen.

Expert mode (North American version)

For expert mode, hold Up, Select and II and press Run at the title screen.

Level select

For a level select, press Run at the title screen to start the game, then immediately hold II and press Run five times (for level 2), Run forty-five times (for level 3), Run twenty-five times (for level 4), or Run one hundred times (for level 5).

Hint: Help from turtle

To get protection from a large turtle, save the worm at the beginning of the first stage by shooting both enemies that attack it, but do not shoot the worm. Butterflies will appear at the first end boss if this is done and you may proceed to stage four.
