Champs team

For the Champs team, select Vs or Edit mode, then hold Select and press I to choose your team at the selection screen.

Select team that pitches first

To choose the team the pitches first, select Open or Watch mode. Select your team and the CPU's team, then press Left or Right to choose which team pitches first.
