To easily complete level 2, go up the two ladders. When the flame goes up the ladder, go down the ladder slightly (it will go down), then jump onto the moving platform. Jump onto the non-moving platform to the right, then jump onto the other moving platform. Be careful not to jump too late or Mario will die. Next, jump onto the non-moving platform to the right. Repeat the process with the flame, then jump onto the little platform and go up the ladder to Pauline.
