Unlock Beat the Bird

To unlock Beat the Bird, collect the letters M, E, G, A, M, A, N, and V during the game.

Extra Lives

Obtain the Mega Tank, full life energy, and fully charged weapons. Wait until you are on a screen with lots of opponents, then pause the game and use the Mega Tank to turn all the opponents into extra lives.

Hint: Locating and defeating Dr. Wily

To locate Dr. Wily in Dr. Wily's Fortress (the last stage), get BEAT the bird. Then, when you fight Dr. Wily, he will be in his spaceship. Use BEAT at this point. When he disappears, jump up and BEAT will fly around in a circle indicating the location where Dr. Wily will re-appear.

Hint: Defeating robots in Protoman's Fortress

At the end of each level in Protoman's Fortress, there is a robot boss. Get BEAT the bird and use it on the bosses. When BEAT is in use, jump over the boss when it gets near you.
