Hold A, C and Start on controller 2 when the Sega logo appears on the screen. Keep these buttons held and hold A, B and C and press Start twice on controller 1 at the title screen. Release all buttons and a cheat menu will be displayed if the code has worked. The cheat menu has options for controlling the game's difficulty, number of lives, and number of continue.

Extra Continues

For additional continues, press A, C and Start on controller 2 when the Sega logo appears. The phrase "Insert Coin" will flash at the title screen if the code has worked.
