Stage select

For a stage select, select "Part 2" from the main menu, then press Right, Up, Left, Up, Right, Up, Down, Up, Left, Up, Left, then Up when the phrase "Press start button" appears. Press Up or Down to change the stage select menu and X or Z to begin.

Boss stage select

For a boss stage select, choose the "Bosses Galore" option from the main menu, then press X, X, X, X, X, Y, Y, Y, Y, Y, Y, Y, Z, Z, Z, Z, then Z at the Bosses Galore title screen. Press Up or Down to display a different boss for select.

999 lives

To start with 999 lives, select "Part 2" from the main menu, then press Right, Up, Left, Down, Right, Down, Right, Up, Left, Down, Right, then Down when the phrase "Press start button" appears. The phrase "Player 999" will appear to confirm the code has worked.

Ending FMV sequence

To view the ending FMV, select "Part 2" from the main menu, then press Right, Up, Left, Up, Down, Up, Right, Left, Up, Right, Left, then Down. The word "Ending" will appear if the code has worked.

Hidden mini-games

To access the Mini-games Corner, press Up, Up, Right, Right, Down, Down, Left, Left, X, Y, then Z at the "Bosses Galore" menu. The word "Minigame" will confirm the code has worked. Select the start option and enter the mini-games corner menu.

Different title screens

To view special title screens, change the system's internal clock to January 1, February 14 or December 25.

Control Level 1 boss

To control the boss in the "Kid's Room" boss stage, quickly press Left, Right + B + C, Right + B + C on controller 2 when the spotlight is on the snake boss. Then, you may use the following buttons on controller 2 to control the boss: use the Directional Pad to move the boss left, right, closer or further; use A, B, Y, L, or R for sounds; use X to toggle the lighting; and use Start to return control to the CPU.

Control Level 2 boss

To control the boss on Level 2, wait until the monkey appears. He will grunt three times. Quickly press Start on controller 2 during the first grunt, and release it after the third grunt. You may then use the following buttons on controller 2 to control the boss: use Left or Right to turn the boss in the corresponding direction; use A to beat the boss' chest; approach Pepperouchau and press B to pick him up and slam him on the ground; or use C to jump on Pepperouchau.

Animal sounds

To hear animal sounds like sheep, elephant and sea lion, press A, X, Y, or Z at the start screen for the regular game (Part 2).

Hidden movie #16

To access movie #16 from the Movie menu, finish "Bosses Galore" with a ranking of expert or master.
