To play as Appli, complete the game under the easy difficulty level, then choose the new "Player" selection that appears on the option screen.
To use all three magic types simultaneously, hold , and before entering level 1 . Press for Fire, for Ice and for Wind during game play.
For training mode, press and hold , and then press and hold , and at the title screen. Keep all six buttons held to unlock an extra selection on the options screen and a training mode selection at the title screen.
To disable the opening, ending and intermission, complete the game under the normal difficulty level, then choose the new "Visual" selection that appears on the option screen.
To configure the controls, complete the game under the hard difficulty level, then choose the new "Pad-XYZ" selection that appears on the option screen. Set the XYZ controls to "Command", then press or to fire command shots. Pressing fires a small bomb.
This cheat requires the Pro Action Replay/GameShark cheat device.
