For alternative costumes, press to choose a fighter at the character selection screen.

To fight as Redeye in the Japanese version of the game, start the Training disc and enter the character introduction option by pressing twice from the top of the options, then pressing . View each of the introductions for all of the characters. Redeye's introduction will the become available. View his as well, then turn off the system and load the Arcade disc. Press to move the pointer off the character selection screen to choose Redeye.
To fight as Redeye in the North American version of the game, complete Saturn Mode with every character, then select any mode. Highlight Joe or Yusaku and press while pressing or .
To fight against Grey, set all options settings to their defaults and begin a new Arcade Mode game. Complete the first eight matches with more perfect endings than defeats. Grey will appear in the next match.
To fight against your shadow, complete the game in under 10 minutes in any mode.
For a random fighter, select "Watch" mode, then press , and simultaneously when selecting a character.
For bonus weapons, complete the game in Arcade Mode with default settings, and arcade difficulty without losing a match or using any continues. In the Japanese version of the game, exceed 900 moves on the Training disc. Highlight a character and press (for fighters on the left side of the screen) or (for characters on the right side of the screen) when selecting a fighter.
To unlock three sets of portraits for each character, successfully complete the game under the normal, hard, and arcade difficulty settings without losing to an opponent.
To unlock a movie of your character and arch enemy, successfully complete the game in Saturn mode. Press or to watch the movie or to return to the movie selection screen.
