Debug mode

For debug mode, press Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, X, B, Z, R, then Start at the title screen. A Japanese debug menu will appear. Highlight the "CPK" window, highlight the "Mount" option and press A for a list of items to appear. Highlight an item, press A, then highlight the "Play" option, and press A again. Play the "CDDA" items to hear the digital audio tracks and the "CPK" items to view the FMV sequences. Note: debug mode may cause the system to crash.

Sound test

For a sound test, press X, X, Y, Y, Z, Z, A, A, B, B, C, C, then Start at the title screen. Press Left or Right to select the sounds to be played.

View credits

To view the credits, press C, B, A, A, B, C, Y, Z, X, Down, Down, then Start at the title screen.

Staff Ball hidden game

To play the Staff Ball hidden game, press X, Y, Z, X, Y, Z, C, B, A, Up, then Down at the title screen.

Hidden victors

For hidden victors, press X, Y, Z, X, Y, Z, C, B, A, Up, Up, then Start at the title screen. You will play on a small pinball machine that normally appears after the game is completed, before the ending credits.

Hidden introduction sequence

To view a hidden FMV sequence about the making of the game, load the game disc when the system's internal clock is between 8:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m..

Cheat mode

For cheat mode, press Up, Up, Up, Up, A, B, C, Down, Down, X, Y, Z, then Start at the title screen. A sound will confirm the code has worked. Select the Gladiators game, hold X, and press Up for the numbers. Select one of the numbers below and press Z to activate the corresponding outcome.

Hold Y and press Up while the numbers are removed to pause or resume the game without hiding the screen. Hold Z and repeatedly press Up to step through the game play one frame at a time. Select a different table to enable a different set of outcomes. Another outcomes cannot be activated until the previous trigger ends. Note: cheat mode may cause the system to crash.
