Additional options

For an expanded options menu, press A, C and Start. Set the "Cornering" option to "easy" for better gripping tires.

Smooth frame rate

For smooth frame rate, highlight the "Game Mode" selection on the main menu, then hold A and C and press Left until the "Overseas (Smooth)" or "Japan (Smooth)" options appear. These selections will allow the game to run at double the normal frame rate.

Arcade mode

To play the original arcade version, press A, C and Start on controller 2 when the Sega logo appears on title screen. To insert coins, press L on controller 1. Note: The standard options menu is not available when this code is enabled.

Operator screen

To access the operator screen, enable "Arcade mode" by pressing A, C and Start on controller 2 when the Sega logo appears on title screen. Then, hold X, Y, Z and Start on controller 1 to adjust the difficulty level and number of credits.
