For battle mode, save the game at least once, then hold , , and on controller 2 at the title screen. The words "Resident Evil" will be spoken if the code has worked. Press on controller 1. An option for Battle mode will then be accessible. The objective of "Battle mode" is to enter a secret zone after killing all enemies with all weapons at your disposal. This mode will also become available if you successfully complete the game.
For different clothing, start a new game and choose either character, then hold and on controller 2 when "June 1998" is displayed on the opening screen. Jill and Chris will be wearing different clothes when the game begins.
For a rocket launcher, complete the game with a time that is under three hours. Replay to game to access the rocket launcher with unlimited ammunition.
Plant 42 can be killed using a knife in order to save ammunition. Chris can save ammunition. Only about a dozen hits are needed to kill it.
Below are the herb mixtures and their results. Note that you cannot mix more than one Blue or Red Herb in a mixture and you cannot add a Red Herb or Blue Herb to two Green Herbs that are already mixed together.
