Bonus mini-game

To play the Steep Slope Shooters mini-game, hold X, Y, Z, L, R, B and C together, select "Option", then "Exit", and press A.

Alternative costumes

For alternative costumes, hold X, Y and Z and press A or C when selecting a racer on the character selection screen. Alternatively, highlight a character, then press and hold Z, Down and A (in that order).

Control text

To control the text, enter the sound test option and select sound "9" and effect "8". Press A to start, then use the Directional Pad to control the text and L or R to control the display speed.

Bonus Characters

Accomplish the following tasks to unlock the corresponding character:

Character	Task
Boy	Complete "Extreme 02" with the best time.
Racer	Complete "Alpine" with the best time.
Alien	Complete "Snowboard park" with the best stunt score.
Skinhead	Complete "Half Pipe" with the best stunt score.

Additional bonus characters

Enable the bonus characters Boy, Racer, Alien, and Skinhead, then complete "Extreme 02", "Alpine", "Skateboard", and "Half Pipe" with the best time. Complete any single course with the eight regular and bonus characters. Finally, use one of the following procedures to unlock the corresponding character:

Girl with glasses	Hold L while selecting "Boy".
Dog	Hold L while selecting "Skinhead".
Buggy Car	Hold L while selecting "Racer".
Space ship	Hold L while selecting "Alien".
Lolita	Hold R while selecting "Boy".
Penguin	Hold R while selecting "Skinhead".
Pera	Hold R while selecting "Racer".
Saturn	Hold L and R while selecting "Boy".

Bonus courses

Enable the bonus characters Boy, Racer, Alien, and Skinhead, then complete any single course with the eight regular and bonus characters. Use one of the following procedures to unlock the corresponding course:

Course	Unlocking procedure
Asteroids	Hold L and R and select the "Extreme 00" course.
Space Colony	Hold L and R and select the "Extreme 01" course.
South Pole	Hold L and R and select the "Extreme 02" course.
Space Grid	Hold L and R and select the "Extreme 03" course.

Select time of day

To select the time of the day, enter the options screen and disable "Time Progress". Select a character, than quickly enter one of the following button commands before the phrase "Now Loading" appears to switch to the corresponding time of day. Release the buttons when game play starts.
